When both partners work intensely, relationships often turn into logistics: who picks up the children, who pays the bills, who answers the next message. Time for meaningful conversations and emotional closeness gradually shrinks, while fatigue and irritation become frequent companions. Many couples notice that even when they are physically together, they are not truly present with each other — one partner scrolling through a phone while the other is thinking about deadlines.
Recent research in relationship psychology (Journal of Marriage and Family, Journal of Family Psychology, Work and Stress, 2023–2026) shows that couples experiencing high workloads often face increased emotional distance, reduced relationship satisfaction, and a greater risk of separation caused by the chronic lack of shared time and emotional energy. At the same time, many couples blame themselves or each other instead of understanding how the brain and nervous system react to prolonged "survival mode."
This webinar series offers a calm and supportive environment where participants can explore why demanding work schedules influence intimacy so strongly, what psychological mechanisms are activated in both partners, and what small but realistic practices help preserve warmth, trust, and the feeling of "we are still a couple," even when life is busy.
There are no unrealistic suggestions like "just work less" and no idealized rituals — only understanding and gentle practices that work in real life.
